Warped

The truth is that we mainly eat vegetables in my home, ok lots of whole-grained fiber, too. Because of this I often wonder how my kids will react when they are free to make their own food choices. I was pleasantly surprized at Andy's wisdom when he was forced to make the decision between fiber and sugar. Last Saturday we stayed a Days Inn on our journey back to Kansas from Utah. Of course the morning continental breakfast presented itself as our best bet for satisfying the need to eat the most important meal of the day. To the lobby we went. Here is where Andy's wisdom came into play. Instead of choosing fruit loops and a sprinkle doughnut for breakfast, he chose a bowl of raisin bran and followed by a bowl of oatmeal. Good boy, son! I have warped you more than you know; fiber is always the best choice for breakfast. Now convince Maisie of the same principle.

way to go, andy (and nicole).

you'll have to share some of your good vegetable and fiber-hearty, whole grain food ideas. i'm trying to be better, but i've never really thought much about food beyond "what tastes good" until now that i have a child to nourish ... so now i am playing catch-up.

It's taken me awhile to comment to this because I don't know how to respond!

Warped? Probably. But, well loved? Absolutely! Nourished? Positively! Happy? Definitely!

You go, Momma!
