Pixies

 
I heard music again coming from the piano, so I decided to check out the situation. Meg had dressed both herself and Maisie up. Their "dancing" consisted of jumping off the piano bench and twirling once they made it to the ground. Do pixies sound like a heard of elephants? I just wondered.

Prodigies

Quite often the children dance to the music of the keyboard. Nicholas loves to pound on the keys and we are convinced that is our next prodigy.

Bench Dog

 
Austin finally finished his router table on Saturday evening. He is quite proud of himself, and he should be. His next project is building a bookcase for the girls' room.

Singing in the Rain

 
This evening Meg convinced Andy that singing in the rain is delighful game. They sure had fun.

Soocer in McPherson

Austin and I were on a coed soccer team. We played seven games while the children played on the playground equipment. I have never played team sports (except for that time in high school p.e. when I won that infamous award....), but I liked it. I really did. After one particular game Austin gave me the greatest compliment when he said, "You were an asset on the field tonight. Really. You played well."

Herbs

This morning I finally planted my herb box. I started these plants from seed the end of March; Austin made the planter box.

Salad for Dinner

Tonight Andy asked me what was for dinner, so I told him salad. He was a bit disgruntled, but Meg interjected with, "At least the food is lots of different colors."

A Note to Mom

Meg made this note for me at school yesterday. Even though I have to persuade Meg to work, I don't have to persuade her to make sure she has a bow in her hair.

My favorite comment this morning was said by Maisie in response to her inquiry about oatmeal on the breakfast menu. She exclaimed, "Yes! My favorite! Delicious!"

Super Heroes

 

My two boys may be small now, but one day they will serve missions, be married in the temple and be stripling warriors and valiant super heroes to those they love.

Little Ladies

 

Yesterday afternoon Meg and Maisie spent two hours in the pet pool, loving the sun and each other. I think this pictures radiates that sisterly love.
