Home and Together

Summer is here, and we are all home together.  We've spent the last four nights playing Spikeball, smear the queer, taking walks, star gazing on the tramp, and listening.  It's all about family.
Morning books are my favorite.
Swimmers.
Nappers.
Grandpa B. had his 76th birthday!  What a guy!  He knows just how to pull each grandchild into his arms and tell them how grand they are.  They believe everthing he says, and they should.  We love him.
Memorial Monday was memorable because the boys put up lights and we swam and loved.
FHE BBQ.
Maisie got her braces off!  Before.
After.  She's very old.  (She started working at the office with Austin, and she drives them to and from Sedona.)
A bit more schooling is happening.
She's so nice.
Swimming is so perfect.
Maisie's crocs came.  She waited three weeks for them.
She hid three charms beside each of our plates and we went around and she told us what they symbolized.
Readers.
My verse this week.  I belive in Jesus Christ.  I believe that I may continue to be purified to one day (a very long time from now) become like Him.
Brandee and Tandy threw Meg a surprise bridal shower.  So many friends came to love and support.
She really is a blushing bride.  I love her.
We came home to a new diving platform.  Everyone dove, but me.  I still can't dive.
Our house was hit by toilet papering bandits, so these two made a muffification game of it, naturally.
Ryan is just so happy.

Saturday Nick and Andy went to the lake, and the rest of us floated the river.  It was the best river day, ever.  We floated most of it and were able to relax.  Ryan was in his own boat, and he rowed the entire trip.

That night Meg put on one of her typical shows where she dances to Disney music using strange props and lots of energy.
Later that night Austin came home with the grocery haul.  He gave a chicken-cutting tutorial.  (I guess the boneless/skinless chicken was way too expensive this week, so he was helping me out.  Nice boy.)
Big-boy Andy works two jobs now.  He spends his mornings (5am-12pm) pouring concrete.

He spends his evenings working at Cold Stone (4-10pm).  He is earning money for his mission and saving for college.  I'm really proud of him.
(One of my cute YW works there as well, so she snapped this picture.  I'm a little horrified at what it looks like behind the counter.  It looks like that need a manager like the mother that lives at my house.)

My Girl is Home

While in Utah, Meg and I took advantage of lots of shops to get wedding shopping done.  Cute Allie Campbell showed us around her shop, and we indulged in her discount.  I should buy everything from her.
Cousins.
Sunday was remote Zoom after sacrament meeting.  Grandma Kim pulled out snacks and we chatted during the second talk that was the longest talk of all of our lives just like this sentence.
Mark called from Mexico!
She doesn't love curlers, but I make her.
Ty had his 6th grade music festival.  We loved watching him.  He moves so well.
Kate and Miles had a soccer game -- pretty much the funniest thing to watch.  Miles scored like five goals, and Kate ran halfway down the field onto her mother's blanket and sighed, "I need to rest."
Last day of school for Maisie #10 and Andy #11.
Meg is home and helps us stop to have fun and listen to each other.

We spend many moments finalizing wedding details.
Nick is her best workout buddy.  They are both sore after they follow Elijah's workout plan.
It's so easy to review my week through pictures and see what is most important -- relationships.  So why is it so hard during the thick of it all to stop and make important conversations happen?  I've made adjustments, and I'm confident I can do better.

April Showers bring May Weddings

We go to church and come home to nap, long and hard.
My new bread recipe is a crowd favorite.
The bigs had a fireside, so the littles went to Grandma's house for a cake celebrating Maisie.
Swimming is the best.
We finished 100 grammar lessons this year.

More and more books.
Maisie's track banquet was rewarding.  Maisie ran so hard
Maisie and Makena received the award, "Attached at the hip."
Thursday we drove to Utah for Mark's wedding.
Thursday night was the reception.  Mom's yard was spectacular.  Here we are -- mothers.
Daughters.
Siblings.
Fiances.
Boomers.
Cousins.

Cherie made their amazing cake.
Roofers.
Friday morning was wedding time!  Markand Mandy's wedding is Mom's last temple marriage.
It rained and was freezing

We huddled under umbrellas.
We liked it.
Mark and Mandy Guymon!

Mom served Cafe Rio salads and Italian sodas.  All 120 people fit in her great room

Their send-off was dry.  They are headed to Mexico for a week and then on to eternity.
Saturday I got a stye.  Yum.
Molly learned to ride her bike -- Uncle Jeff saved a princess bike for her.
Molly held such a cute Callie baby cousin.

My heart feels full when I am apart of a temple wedding where the happy couple make and keep sacred covenants.  Austin and I reflected upon our marriage, and we made the connection that the sealing "laws" are just a few paragraphs.  Whereas the
