Spring Break

The children and I spent the week of spring break in Utah. Always lots of food, cousins and fun. Oh yes, about 12+ hours of shopping. Simply sung -- Utah is the best.

Dinner our first night; we were sure excited to be out of the car and eating.

Kimmie's dance party.

FHE on Monday night. (Yes, Grandma is doing headstands.)

Visiting Grandpa and Rebekah at work.

Loving Grandparents.

Grandma gave haircuts to the girls.

Dearest friends -- niece and aunt.

Shelly came for a few hours -- she squeezed us in, interrupting studying for boards.

Meg's Program

John flew into town today to drive the kids and me to Utah for Spring Break. He came on a perfect day because not only did Meg lose her second central, but she also had her spring music concert.

Our Baby

Here are pictures of our healthy baby.
Baby profile.

Baby leg.

Baby's Momma. (Yes, I am bigger than most girls at 24+ weeks. Hey, it's my fifth baby.)

Nick now thinks he has a baby in his belly, too.
Every morning Maisie hugs my belly and says, "Momma, you sure have a big baby today." Maisie's current names for the baby are Angela and Opal.
Andy is very careful to ask before he can jump on me. Today he prayed for the "baby Mom's carrying." Of course he always lets me nap, especially when I lay beside him while he plays Wii.
Meg sits patiently waiting for the baby to move, and when it happens, her eyes light up and she giggles.

Spring Time

Austin and the kids spent all day Saturday in the yard. At one point Meg ran inside to inform me that the garden was on fire. I peeked out the back door, and this is what I found...I just looked away.

The Lone Star State

Austin had a dental seminar this past weekend in Dallas. Instead of spending the weekend without him, I packed us all up and we drove to Parkers'. As usual Brent and Whitni had prepared tons of entertainment, delicious food, and they even watched the kids so we could catch a session in the Dallas temple.

Friday Whitni and I took the kids to Canton, a huge flea market about 75 minutes away. The kids were nice to look but not touch. We ate lunch and snacked, but the favorite part of the excursion was jumping int the piles and piles of leaves in the parking lot.

(While browsing Nick's gum was lost and found!)

We also went to BONKERS, a huge indoor play place.

Sunday morning sheer exhaustion had set in, and the kids "slept" in.

Immunizations

Between Andy, Nick and Maisie, 12 immunizations were in order, and I finally had the guts to make it happen. We waited 2 hours for 12 lousy shots. Andy went first, he only grimaced once during his 5 sticks. Then came Maisie, she cried as soon as the nurse came into the room, during her 4 pricks, and afterward she limped to the front desk. Nick was last and only cried when the needles went in. Missionaries came to dinner this evening, and the kids were sure proud of their bandaids.

The entire process left me exhausted, but we did accomplish two hours of steady reading time. It's a good thing I brought tons of books, and it's a good thing I bribed the kids with frosties for being cooperative.
