Absolutely April

Molly was really cute in white for church today.  

 This is Rebecca, she helps me with singing time and holds Molly and repeats, "Oh, she loves me.  She loves me.  You love me, huh baby."

 Early morning family scripture study can be rough.

This is our new Walmart trick.

Austin's garden boxes are springing with new life.

He makes exploration a science.

Molly is a confident sitter these days.  Eddie loves it when she wacks his face; he giggles and giggles.

Maddie performed in her 2nd grade music festival.  She was quite the singer.  I loved watching both performances.

Nick had Molly laughing and laughing at him.  They were really sweet together.

Birthday Boys

Austin is 41 and Nick is 10!  Austin and Nick are super lucky that their birthday landed on Saturday.  Our morning was calm and quiet and lovely.  (Birthday breakfast and presents looks a lot like Christmas with those decorated trees and Nick's pajamas.)

We spend the day at Out of Africa.

We fed giraffes, watched tigers eat and jump in a large pool, and cooked in the hot sun.  Austin summed it up, "Well, this would be cool if I hadn't been on a real safari in Africa."  Whelp, it was a fun activity and we did have a nice time.

 Austin took a nice afternoon nap.  Nick opened fancy socks from Grandma Kim.

We love Nick because he is tender and mild.  He is the first to hold Molly and kiss the top of her head.  He loves to scare Maddie and wrestle with Andy.  He gets his homework done as school as he is home from school, and he sings so loudly in primary.
We love Austin because he is our patient protector and provider.  He goes to work everyday, mows the lawn every week, and leads us in prayer everyday.  He dances like a crazy man during dishes, almost sings audibly during family choir, and always eats all his food.
We love our two boys, just so much.  

Easter Week

Easter Sunday was quiet.  The bunny brought swimming gear.

 I sewed four skirts and four ties (Nick's was a bit wonky, so he found something else).

 Easter dinner was luscious. I had quite a bit of help in the kitchen.

 Monday morning I baked a cake to take to the office.  Then, it dumped over....

 Eddie found the warm sun inside.

 Then we found the warm sun outside.

 Daily scriptures with these cutie pies.  I love the progression in these.  Ryan's kiss.

 Ryan learned to pump his swing at the park.  Now that's a big deal!

 Maisie holds Molly most evenings.

 Meg went on her first date to Prom in Flag.

 She's quite pretty.

10 Full Days

I found these flower shoes for Molly.

 She obviously needs them.

 Andy, Meg and Maisie have track meets every week.

 Nick's pinewood derby car won!  "All my dreams have finally come true!" boasted Austin.

 Meg's meet was at Mingus.  Austin helped with times. He's helping her prepare as well.

 Bounce-house love.  He's so dreamy.

 So is he -- just not while eating.  OK.  That night we ate at a dumpy Chinese buffet.  We saw people that we recognized from all over.  He's pointing to the little boy that lives by the church that Meg waves to every morning.  We also saw the hill walker that walks up our hill daily.

 We matched on nicely.

 I kiss her all.  The.  Time.

 She's the best at playing games.

 I made jam. And bread.  But not tea with jam and bread.

 My kitchen was trashed afterwards.

 I always think I look so much better than I actually do.  I need more filters.

 Eddie and I made cookies.  He made ten baby cookies to share with all his peeps.

 These tracksters medal every meet.

 Someone captured me in my clean kitchen with Ryan following me around saying, "Hold you me."  I love it.  I did stop and hold him.  Why do I want a clean kitchen?  Why don't stop and just hold him?

 We went on a family hike to Sycamore Canyon.  The whole event was a disaster, but the surroundings were beautiful.
