Happy Anniversary-- #8

Today Austin and I have been married for 8 years. Because I traveled today to Utah from Idaho Falls, I had to opportunity to listen to "my" music. Every love song of course made me think of my true love and made me excited that we will be reunited on Thursday. I love Austin. So much.

Kimmie

Yesterday I watched Kimmie get ready for church and go to the singles ward. I found myself stupefied at her grace and beauty. I was not able to attend her high school graduation last month, but I did find these pictures on this laptop in the dining room. I was a bit misty eyed at the fact that she is heading to college and beginning the next huge phase in her life. She's a glower. (Kimmie is the girl in the center.)

Do You Love Me?

Today I called Austin (I'm still in Utah and he is home in Kansas) because I had a very important question for him. I asked, "Do you love me?" He replied, "Yah...." Then I simply hung up the phone. A couple hours later he called me and thought that I either had cut my hair or that I had spent a lot of money. I suppose our marriage is pretty good if those are the extreme reasons why he might not love me (as if that would ever happen). Of course I miss him terribly.

I Love to See the Temple

Ricky is married. Yesterday was his sealing in the Salt Lake Temple. We sat in the shade and ate fruit snacks during pictures. Here are some candids of the that blessed event.

More Sunday Pics

Sunday Celebation

Because we are in Utah for Ricky's wedding, many of the cousins went to mis padres ward for church. I was not prepared for the joy I felt sitting as a family. What a blessing to belong to the Guymon family. Maisie sat with Ricky, Meg sat with Emily, Andy sat with Mark, and Nick was passed between Austin and I. After church Mom made an amazing lunch. These are the pictures of our Sunday celebration.

The Ring

Yesterday I noticed that Maisie's ring was gone. I asked her what happened, and she told me that it was lost, but Jesus was taking care of it.

Happy Birthday, Andy!

Today is Andy's 5th birthday! He spent most of it in front of the Wii, knowing full well that when tomorrow comes the rationing rules are a go. We were able to go swimming and to McDonalds for dinner. Of course we celebrated with a Mario Kart cake.

Crunchy Granola Chunks

This was all Meg's doing. NO wonder we always have fun when she is around!

So Innocent

Nicholas appears to be innocent, but he is not. About 3 hours into our drive home he exploded. Usually I'm a pretty confident one-wipe kind of mom, but I used about 10 wipes to clean the mess on him, his onesie, his carseat and me. The end result, however, was a happy baby who sat in a different carseat, happily eating cheeto-balls the rest of the drive.

Feeding Turtles

Saturday morning Parkers took us to a local park to feed the turtles. Whitni was right when she told me the entertainment was worth the walk. I had never seen moss on turtles before and that was a bit sick. Maisie and Nick were completely happy eating the white bread they so rarely taste. I figure those turtles have eaten more white bread in their lifetime than my kids in theirs'. Asher then took the kids on a train ride to Seattle to ride a ferry boat.

Fireworks

Watching fireworks.

Pool Party

We were so HOT after the parade and ended up at a backyard BBQ amd swimming in a salt-water pool.

Here we are again huddled in the shade.

My two little boys were so content after eating and swimming.

4th of July Parade

We went to Texas to spend our holiday; we were spoiled by the kindness of the Parkers. Here is our group huddled in the shade watching the Coppell Parade.
