Frankie! Frankie! Frankie! Frankie! Frankie!

I convinced my little school children to workout with me.  Ryan quits quietly, Eddie quits angrily, Maddie endures, and Maisie fights for every gain.
FHE was another hit.  We simply read the miracles in Mark 5 then we played pictionary.  Maisie's demon exit proved her declaration, "This is what AP art looks like."
Ryan found Neil Armstrong in him mathbook and in his grammar workbook.  He earned his quarter!  Maddie's studying French in the backgound.
Youth group was planned by the YM.  Maddie, our bishop and Rim were the last three standing.  Maddie won.
Maisie went with me to see Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in concert.  We had a blast.  Frankie is now 88, so when his name was announced, she shuffled out onto the stage.  His band was sensational, his backup singers were smooth, but it's his music that had me at hello.  We knew every word to every chorus, and at intermission she conviced me to dance in the portal.  SO MUCH FUN!
I pre-ordered my Frankie shirt, and I was the only one with merch.  All those other 70+. year olds were living their best lives through us: We remembered the words, danced and jumped to the music, and ran to the car singing when it was over.  (We acutally ran smack into a metal rope that dropped us to the gravel.  We both have heavy bruises on our thighs and shins.  Whoops.)
He's a tiny little man with a great, big, prominent false setto.  Maisie is a tiny girl with a volume level that could be heard over his.  She was the perfect companion to my revisit of the first concert I ever attended as a youth.
I found these two on my phone.
We watched Nick's tennis match.  He has improved so much from last year.

My school friends convinced me to take them to Walmart.  Molly even took her own little cart -- she hauled the goldfish and skittles (we're prearing for an adventure).

Often they run down the hill.  Their little legs kick up behind them so fast.
Maddie and I prepped several meals.  Of course they all have desserts attached.
Ryan's football season is over.  He pulled several flags, ran for a touchdown and was such a team leader.  He's actually going to play the spring season these next few months.
Maddie rounds up all the little kids and entertains them.
Look what Molly made for her 18 year old friend, "It's piano music so Eden can practice."  I love this so much.

Eddie made dinner on date night -- I love a night when the kitchen is closed.  Austin and I found ourselves talking and reconnecting.  It was a long week of meetings and responsibilities, so our date was soul food.
I played the organ today for two wards for the very first time (so many have left for spring break).  I also was the stake speaker in the third ward.  Attending three sacrament meetings and two YW classes was actually lovely.  I felt like I kept the sabbath day very well in my heart.  I was told I looked very small up at the organ.  It's a big instrument.  Melijah spoke in church today as well.  I'm sure they were uplifting and prepared.  They are lovely posterity.
Maddie taught the lesson in YW today.  She was brave and true.

Someone took a sunset picture.  I was in bed with a migraine.
It's just tradition to play game.  Nick won "Citadels."  The eight player games are always the best.

I asked Andy what I could do for his this week.  He told me that he likes it when I send scriptures to him, so I do.  He now lives in Nashville and works alongside his mission president.  He will only spend 3.5 days working in the field, and the other days ministering to the other elders in his mission.  Andy is proof of the joy that comes from choosing Christ and living a life of discipleship.  "I just hit 'em with the spirit."  He's serving a mission not just because it's the culture of our church, but because he loves Jesus and wants to follow Him.  Andy invited me to Jesus in my life in my morning prayers; I'm excited to see where it takes me.

Do you want to build a snowman?

We got another big snow!  It was big enough to split our crepe myrtle in half.  Maisie suggested we make a fort from the fallen tree, complete with individual rooms, guardians (snowmen flaking the entrance) and a toilet.

Then I found them gaming sans devices.  Austin won, but Ryan's 10 on ore was lucrative.  Later in the day I heard Ryan ask Molly, "Do you want to play grannies?"  Then Eddie suggested, "Do you want to practice sword fighting?"
Friday we skiied.  Okay.  This is the reality.  I started the day with Youtube videos of tips and tricks about how to parallel ski.  Then I called Meg, and she told me, "You can do it!  Visualize and make it happen."  Facts: After the first blue run, I threw a fit a left the family.  I hobbled back to the bunny hill and spent two hours alone, riding it again and again.  I made the goal of no wedging, but only paralleling.  It worked!  I figured it out and ended the day as the slowest family member down the blues, not caring, because I didn't wedge once.
Maddie, Eddie and Ryan now do the jumps.
She keeps up with all the bigs and was pooped.  It's so cute to watch her go, but also humbling, because she just tears right down.
Finishing our day at Panda was especially fun, because they waved at all the cars in the drive through.  We missed Nick, but he won 2/3 tennis tournaments earlier that day.
Maisie and Ryan got major sunburn.  Her pretty little face blistered and dried up.
Saturday we all showed up to support Ryan.  He carried the ball several yards and pulled 12+ flags.  Isn't it so sweet G&G B. come?
Maisie convinced her friends, "Hey guys, let see if we can fit under this one blanket."
Molly gave her talk in primary.  The room is always silent when her pretty little self stands up and testifies of the peace that comes from trusting in Jesus.  Eddie was sung to in primary today; he's going to turn 11 this month.😯

Andy's report:
"Good news!  Paducah Zone is now the best zone, after 18 weeks.  We came up from the bottom of the food chain, now we are at the top."
"We went to the temple on Saturday with recent converts."
"Ed, you wanna be #1, right?  You're cracked."
"I always rep the P."

Aroo

The entire week felt lighter than last, because we knew that Melijah were coming to visit.  It's the parachute that brought so much outdoor fun.  I tried playing a good game of "Monster," but I was scared when wrapped in the parachute and being jumped upon by the monster.
Maddie, Eddie, Ryan and Molly don't seem to mind it, though.
I made this Cinnamon Coffee Cake. https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/cinnamon-crisp-coffee-cake-recipe   It was worth three prep bowls.
Wednesday night Austin still makes their "joint activity" happen.  Ryan drinks all his slushie, Eddie saves his, and Molly freezes hers.
Maddie went to register for MUHS with Maisie.  They were darling leaving together.
Friday afternoon, once the Armstrongs were in our bus, our weekend adventures began.  Austin surprized us with a reservation at The Olive Garden.  He ordered mozerella sticks just for Maddie, and she loved them.
Then we went to Gammage and watched "Frozen" from the sky.
We sang, whooped and hollered all the way back to the bus.
We were up early to get Eddie to his wrestling tournament and to run the McDowell Spartan.  The 10K Beast was delightful. Lots of hills, lots of mud, and lots of obstacles conquered (not by me).
The answer to the announcer's qestion of, "What is your profession?" is supposed to be answered with trio, "Aroo!"  Meg -- the rookie -- yelled, "I'm a dentist!"  The entire que of runners lit up.
Maddie took third.
Molly was the first girl, second runner to finish.
Ryan finished third.
We cleaned up the best we could and headed to Eddie's wrestling tournament for eight hours.
Eddie wrestled several times and placed fourth.
He's a GOAT.  It was super fun to have Elijah sitting beside us, because he grew up wrestling, so he knew the answers to all our questions.
12:30pm church is always the answer to fatigue.  Austin was set apart in the Elder's Quorum.  Molly came in with her primary reminder sticker stuck to her tights.  President Hall cackled about that one.
Here are my darlings.  They are so dear to me.  I love each one so much.  Everyday I love them more.  Everyday I want them to find their own happiness in the joy of Jesus Christ.  May their souls rest because the find faith in His grace.
Monday big E gave little E wrestling lessons.
"Treat yo'self!" was a motto I took to heart.  36 new dishcloths now fill my drawer.  (Note the old ones on the right.  Austin added, "Why didn't you just wash the old ones?"  Meaning, they look so gray and soiled, that they couldn't have possibly been bleached and bleached and bleached again.)
They left us Tuesday.  They left us better than when they found us.
We love connecting with Andy on Wednesday nights.  His report as reported in direct quotes as follows:
"It's been good, really good.  I just grinded so hard!  We didn't take dinner."
"The zone baptized 11 times, and we brought 38 people to church."
"I'll be praying for you, Ed."
"Sometimes you just have to drag your companion around."
We just love him so much, and his countenance just shines.
