Easter

The Easter bunny comes on Saturday around here.  Our birthday boy slept through the entire thing.

I made the girls' skirts.  You can't tell, but the boys have different colored shirts as well.

Shelly's poppy-colored dress fit in perfectly.

My Baby is 1

Eddie is ONE!  Happy Birthday, Eddie!  We love you.

 He loves sharing his food.

Spring Break

We went to Goblin Valley for spring break.  Of course the kids loved climbing all over the rocks.

We survived a thunder storm with rain and hail.  Here it is coming for us.

Here we are hiding under the rocks.

And up on top of the valley again.  We were drenched.  Poor Maisie.

 The true damage.
 Dry again.

Prayer

Well, you can read the truth.
I scream, I am not proud of it, but I'm trying to do better.  I pray to do better.  I have also been praying for my seeds to sprout.  They have.  I know He is listening.

Hike-o-Rama

Spring is here!  Thus begins our treks into the vast wilderness.  Today we hiked to Battle Creek Falls and to the G (my family always said the G on the mountain stood for Guymon).  4.5 miles and 3 hours later and the children didn't complain.  We are all glad to be outside after our cold winter.
 Guymons and Kylee came, too.

Can't get this picture rotated.  Sorry.
The valley view from the G.  Maisie commented, "I never knew Utah had so much water.  Dad, let's go to the beach!"

 Our destination from the valley.

Homecoming

They're back!  Grandma and Grandpa are home from their 18 month mission to Kenya!  Let's just say that my children ate them up.

We "watched" a movie (all the adults were sacked out within 10 minutes of the moving starting).

Grandpa taught us how to play "Mexican Trains."

My parents came for a visit.
We surely enjoyed their love in our home.  Their calming influence reduce the noise level significantly.  The cracks in my hands healed because I didn't do any dishes.  (And, they left the VIBE here, so they have to come back.  Hooray!)

Playing Ketchup

OK.  I have nothing to blog, because I've been LAZY!
Maddie learned about money.
 Eddie free-stands.
Austin and Andy made a cake for pack meeting.
 Maddie went to Emily's school.

My little boys are so cute!

The Kitchen is Closed

Austin is in Seattle for his parents mission homecoming this weekend, so I decided that today my kitchen would be closed.  Ha!  Although we ate Wendy's for dinner, I still found myself washing a pile of dishes at 8:45 this evening.  Those dishes belonged to the whole wheat bread, the caramel popcorn, and the brownies that I baked today.  The day the kitchen was supposed to be closed.  Perhaps I'll have more success if I try again tomorrow.

Here are my clean-sleeping children all ready for Sunday morn. (Maisie and Nick read that pile of books on the headboard before they fell asleep.)
