Utah is Forever (not just for Christmas)

We spent a glorious week in Utah!  So many HUGE envents and fun outings filled our every moment.  Let's not forget our long sleeps and big eats.

Baby Quinny-Bin-Bin was blessed by her Father.  Both grandpas, one uncle and one great-uncle also stood in the circle. Great Grandma Kim and the Standifirds were also present. So many pictures this week came from Austin's phone -- this one is his.  He spent much of the evening quietly holding Baby.

Apparently, he also entertained Molly and cousins.
Poor Bea, she didn't really love her house invaded by so many people.  Grandpa sympathized.
Blessing crew.

We three.
I had the privilege of dressing this little lady.
Prior to her blessing, Noah was ordained a deacon.  Ricky's ordination was filled with words of learning and grace.

New Year's Eve we celebrated with a smallish group.  Of course we danced, ate and even lit sparklers in the backyard.

Andy's mission president invited us on a helicoptor ride.  Amazing.  Lifting right off the ground and circling the mountain peaks of Provo canyon was a spiritual experience.

The Armstrongs came along for the experience, so while their parents were flying, Molly read to Beap and Wintie.
This was new: Emily and Baker rented the entire PLUNJ facility, and as a family we moved from sauna to ice bath for an entire hour.  Gains.  We got gains.
The Armstrongs had us over for a Christmas party!   They gave us each an envelope with money, a SWIG card and a name.  We went to DI and bought a gift for our name, redeemed our Swig cards and then exchanged gifts.  All of this fun was followed up by a lovely dinner and games. And just like that, new tradition was born.  What fun to join a tradition and not have to create it.  Bless them.

We four attended a temple session.  When the temple is five minutes away, how could we not woship there?
Luminaria for my birthday celebration.  That was fun and cold.

Ron came without his family but redeemd food coupons at all the stops.
Twinnies were such good sports.
Andy's Becca is a real gem.  She was just right.  We like her.
Sushi was also a birthday request, so off we ate.  13 people ate 40 large rolls.  I also read from Colorstrology, a book that connects birthdays to colors and personality traits.
Grandpa found his little friend right away.
And then it all ended, and we drove home.
Dearest Mother let us sleep and sleep and sleep.  Dearest Armstrongs gave us a holiday tradition and let us maul their three little chicks..  "Bandy" graced us with their presence.  My siblings and families were so happy to join at the critical and happy points.  Holiday Utah was epic this year.
