At 9:30pm we arrived home! The children were waiting in the driveway with flashlights and cheers. It feels so good to be loved.
After two weeks navigating my home, Melijah left for theirs. While they were here, the children were loved, fed and nurtured, the grass and garden were watered and harvested, my indoor plants were sung to, the pool was skimmed and pH balanced, the kitchen was immaculate and the laundry was washed and folded. Every night Ryan still brings me a pumice stone, vaseline and socks; he wants me to fix his feet like Meg did. It's really sweet to watch your children progress and be a better version of yourself, while still being themselves. This cute little couple of one year of marriage, have created a joyous life as consequence of good choice.
Let's just say that when I called each day, the childen hardly needed anything but my short response to, "Hi, Mom!"
Eddie's new dive bombing game.Home together.
Wednesday the YW picked up trash then swam. It was such a simple activity, yet so purposeful.
We had a monsoon! Please bless it rains every afternoon, because our land is so parched.
Elder Babcock sent me this gem -- his tag was inside his coat -- he had just stepped outside and landed upon golden hour.
Molly still goes to gymnastics each week. She wanted to race me down the hill. She's another little fast runner.
We went to Walmart as a group. Mistake.
Eddie found "Summer Sippers" in the Highlights magazine. He made me a list of ingredients, and I made his dreams come true.
Sis gave Maddie the most darling gel polish for her birthday. Maddie gives herself the mani, but I sure do all the raving.
This week was mostly about recovery. I still did a million things, and so did Austin.
