Two Birthdays -- Natalie and Mark

Today my siblings Natalie and Mark share their birthdays. And, they are celebrating together at Mom's house. Miss you guys.

I love Mark because he fills my heart with love and laughter. Where else is there a boy who can be brutally honest about the length of family testimony meeting, answer to the name Pup, and flash gang signs in all my wedding pictures?

I love Natalie because she fills my soul with joy and gladness. Where else is there a girl who can sing like the "Idol" rejects, answer to the name Peter, and claims herself as my BIGGEST fan?

More Projects

Austin made cold frames to begin our gardening this season. He planted lots of seeds on Thursday, and today he showed me the successful results of winter germination. In 60 days we should be eating spinach, lettuce, carrots, onions and peas. Nick was Austin's sidekick during the entire process.

Yesterday Austin finished the FHE metal board for my kitchen. I simply wanted a place to hang our weekly FHE art projects, and he pulled through as always.

(I also have a few other projects to post, but I need to finish up the minute details. Perhaps Thursday.)

"Look, I'm a Stuffed Animal!"

Thursday morning Andy and Maisie found me doing YOGA with my eyes closed. Maisie squealed, "Look, Mom, I'm a stuffed animal!" Andy came running in behind her and said he had filled her jammies with batting. Soon afterward the batting came out of Maisie's jammies, and Andy filled his own.

(I love that Nick is raising his arms, too.)

Happy Valentine's Day

My mom started a tradition of small gifts beside our plates at breakfast on Valentine's day. Of course this tradition has continued with my kids, and due Andy's enthusiasm this tradition will never die.

On Wednesday Nicholas and I helped in Meg's class party.

On Friday we took cupcakes to the office, and the kids finally got to eat some they actually decorated.

Which brings us back to Saturday, Cupid's day. Austin and I went on a 75 minute date to dinner at La Fiesta. We enjoyed a lovely conversation and geared up for bathing children and Sunday preparations when we arrived home.

Mother's Birthday

Today is my sweet mother's birthday. I once heard one of my favorite people refer to her as an angelic saint. I quite agree. This picture is of us. Although I don't remember the details surrounding this exact situation (I was only 18 months old), I do remember every hug and kiss she ever gave me. Love to my mother.
