Temple Tour

Today we picnicked with grandpa at Temple Square -- he works there, so he was the perfect tour guide. What a joyous occasion! We simply ate, walked, toured, all the while feeling the manifestations that the temple is the House of the Lord. We are sealed as a family for eternity.

Best part of it all was Austin. I love my boy! Love, when and where are we going next?
Indeed a thanks to John and Rebekah for watching the kiddos. We are glad to be home again!

P.S. Did not snap pictures of the spa pedicure treatment, the cash for jewelry, or the hours my the pool.

Uh...

Everyday the neighbor boy comes over to duke. I can't take it anymore. Today I suggested that he go home to do that. He told me he knows how to wipe-- his mom taught him. Perhaps his mom should also teach him to come home to drop a load. At least, that's what I've taught my kids....

Summer Literacy Program

I found Maisie sitting on the porch reading to her friends. Whenever she stopped to look at the pictures, they would urge her to keep reading. Later Austin asked me who taught her to read -- I was offended -- of course it was moi.

Bear Lake -- Babcock Family Reunion 2011

As the title declares, we spent the independence holiday at Bear Lake. What fun the children had with their cousins, and what fun the adults had late into the night, without the children, and belly laughing together. Here is a small list of memories:

My favorite memory is that I filled Whitni's retainers with peanut butter, and she donned them for us. Probably the funniest part of the trip. (Besides the fact that Grandma and Grandpa arrived while we were hiking, and moved into the wrong condo -- they even made a smoothie and started a load of laundry.)

Andy the Great is 8

Andy is now 8! We spent a glorious day together.
