Our 10th Anniversary

Austin and I have now been married 10 years. We went to dinner and he surprised me with this video.

 

 

 

Venice Beach

Two hours after the temple ceremony our group headed to Venice Beach, CA. We spent 5 days in the sun, sand and water. What a delight. Children never complain at the beach, even when it is cold.

 

Mindy and I showed up with the same suit -- both of us independently ordered online.

 

 

 

Standifird Wedding

Ashley and Tyler Standifird are now married. The temple sealing and reception were both amazing and perfectly wonderful.

 

 

 

 

Pottery Barn via Walmart

 

 

Stacey came to visit and worked her magic! Using only decor from Walmart, she transformed my room. No need to buy new furniture -- the dresser was sitting in the garage and was blue. The night stand was the tower in the corner of the room; Austin chopped it in half. 10 cans of black spray paint and few accessories from storage finished it off. I've already booked her a ticket to come to our new house and decorate every room.

The Tentacles of an Octopus

On the way home from WALMART Andy declared, "Mom, I have hanging tentacles again."

I didn't know what to say, because he could have meant a great many things. "Ya?!" was all I added.

He followed up with, "You know, by my nail."

"Oh," I finished, "I will clip your cuticle to remove your hang nail when we get home."

 

Andy's 7th Birthday

Andy is now 7! He wanted a Yoshi cake and a big BAKUGAN. Both his wishes came true. We went swimming all afternoon, and played Mario Kart as a family all evening. Our boy was in heaven. We love Andy because he is patient, caring and wiry.

 

 

 

 

Garden Veggies

Dinner came from the garden: potatoes, tomatoes, rosemary, basil, parsley, dill, cucumbers, beets and carrots. Yum.
