FHE

Tonight Maisie came to FHE with her "baby box." We ate snack size boxes of cold cereal for dessert, and she kept hers and wrapped it in a blanket. After the opening song, she brought me Baby Box to tickle and kiss.

Later during FHE Austin taught us a lesson on prayer. Meg said we should pray to get taxes lowered. Andy said we should pray for both President Monson and President Hinckley. Maisie said we should pray and ask to not be burned in fire like Abinadi.

The evening ended with Austin giving us each a father's blessing, on behalf of the new school year. His words reminded us all that Heavenly Father is aware of our needs, and is ready to bless us if we simply obey.

We all felt the spirit in our home tonight. Perhaps it was because Nick was asleep when we started, but most likely because we are led by our righteous priesthood holder, our daddy, Austin.

Meg, you sound like a future politician to me!

My favorite home evening was always the father's blessing by Bruce to the kids for the new school year. What a lovely tradition to continue.

Really cute Nicole! I have to figure out how to do all this fun blogging stuff! It's so fun to do it! High-speed is terrific! Ronnie always prays that the bad people won't kill us...oh, the world these kids grow up in! Thank goodness for nice things like PBS and webkinz.
