Happenings

Rebounding came highly recommended from my favorite influencer.  It so happens that I really love it.
Our prophet, Russell M. Nelson, turns 100 this month!  It so happened that the loving tributes from around the world made me cry.
It so happens that FHE was BOM doctrinal mastery.  Austin came in fine force.  Maisie memorized at lightning speed.  Nick just shouted the same two references that entire game.  Maddie tried her best, but it wasn't enough.  Eddie kept track of the game's "fairness." Ryan stared blankly.  Molly cried a bit.  All in all, a night of fun.
Although our its still 95*, the pool water is cold.  It so happens that this recess solution was a hit.
It so happens that my scholars work very hard.
Eddie's definition of "amazing" made me laugh way down in my belly.  It so happens that he's right.
We finally have another family with children in our neighborhood.  It so happens that they homeschool as well.
Nick and I had to appear in court.  It so happens that he just had to talk with the registrar, and I had to sign his paperwork for speeding.
It so happens that Nick's long, lean and fit body is perfct for jumping off the blocks.
Shree graciously took Maisie's missionary pictures.  It so happens that she's so much more beautiful than all the red rocks.
Austin finished reading 3/3, 1000+ page novels.  It so happens that he might not ever do that again.
Church.
President Hall came and set Maisie apart as a full-time missionary.  She begins her home MTC tomorrow, and we are so proud of her.  It so happens that her firm discipleship will last through eternity.  She's so happy.

Andy spends 36 hours working while juggling 12 BYU credits and a navigating solid social life.  It so happens that my mother listens and loves him so carefully.  She's the best landlord in the universe.

Twinnies are scooting, jumping and squealing every second they're not asleep.  It so happens that they know my voice and smile and "talk" when we facetime.

It so happens that I organized an Olympic tournament/dinner/dance for 100 youth. We were so blessed that the God of the heavens helped everything come together.  (Austin works with the youth again, so he's my right-hand man.  Goated.  He also came and found me for a slow dance.  Sigh.)

Maisie's #19

Maisie's 19th birthday was very underwhelming, because life simply had to go on, and she's just waiting for her's to begin.  She begins her mission in just 10 days, so she's just waiting and waiting and waiting.  At least she waits while playing guitar, reading novels, keeping her space tidy, contributing to the family, being a good listener to her older and younger siblings, smiling a lot and most usually being very happy.  We love this girl.
Nick left at 5:40am, so we had to postpone presents and singing until the pm.
She and I spent the morning at HIGH fitness.

Then I made her a lovely breakfast.

Her one request was to float the river.  We spent 2.5 hours lazily clamboring down the Dirty Verde.  There was priracy on the high seas, mutineers, splashers, hikers, gigglers, rope swingers, boat swappers, sinkers and waders.  The 99*, afternoon shade and cool water sealed the celebration.

A quick dinner in prep and consumption pushed our forward momentum into an evening of Ryan's flag football.
We ate hot cinnamon rolls -- her requested substitution for a cake -- on the blanket and watched Ryan succeed.
Finally, at 8:30pm, she opened her presents.  Mostly she wanted jewelry items for her mission, but sweet Molly added to her stash.

Sunday I did bake a cake (I accidentally doubled the butter in the batter, so it was very rich) and she finally blew out candles.
Maisie's Song

This girls is patient as ever and the queen of everything.
