End of April

Eddie paints pictures often.  I found this gem taped beside my bed.

 This girl needed some work.  Well, she actually needs a lot of work, but only one dental prodecure.  She is so glad she sleeps with her dentist -- he takes extra good care of her.

 I have no idea why, but I've been sewing.  I've had this project for over a year and finally completed it.  Although four birthdays have already past, we have five more to come this year.

One day I even let the kids create their own pizzas.  They were so happy about it.

Both Nick and Maddie sent messages to Austin today.  After Nick sent his, he asked me to double check his syntax.  Maddie just can't get enough emojis.

Sunday Selfie

Here we are todos juntos (Austin was on the phone saving the world one phone call at a time).  I am wearing my down coat because it is like 77* in the shade and I was shivering.  Hahahah!

I am kind of feeling like I live a million miles from Highland.  I even had this breakdown moment today that tomorrow I'll drive the little boys and just go for the week.  The irrationality of it all drove me back into reality, but still, I can't even begin to know how people live so far from their mothers.

Let's see.  What else can I complain about?   Yikes.  That's really how I feel.  I best not.  In the mean time, I'll keep striving to be obedient and carry on.  Because that's what I do: stay calm and strive on holding fast to my covenants.  

Birthday Boys 2016

Austin and Nick are 40 and 9, respectively.  Friday is a good day to have a birthday around here.  NO work for Austin, and all play for Nick.  His friends came off the bus a very clever party.  Evening came and Nick joined us on our date -- Panda Express and "The Jungle Book" movie.
  

Austin makes me feel safe and protected.  He's old, but still works out every morning, so every muscle bulges and every vein pops.  His stress level is unsurpassed, yet he makes it all work.  Nick makes me feel like back rubs and kisses on the cheek could change the world -- they just might.  How blessed we all are because these two make us so happy.

That Time Again

I'm very brave.  Ryan wears underpants.  Weeelll, he actually poops in underpants.  But he does mostly piddle in his little potty.  One skittle all around for his successes.

Andy the Athlete

Andy just finished spring soccer on his school team.  He played defense, although a couple times he played wing and got a few assists.  We watched all 11 games, and we were happy that he won eight of those.  Those maroon socks proved to be lucky.

Sunny Sons of Seonda

Austin took the two big boys to Bell Rock Saturday afternoon.  They rode about seven miled total, but and they were sure excited about it.  I think one day when they grow up they will tell tales of the resort life the lived.

Pinewood Derby

Nick and Austin worked all week on their pinewood derby car.  Nick's raced really well.  Both boys were happy.

We showed all the "Babcock" support we could.  It's safe to say Nick had the largest and loudest cheering section!

Ryan is 2!

My baby is 2!  Ryan is very lucky because each time a Sunday birthday rolls around, it will be General Conference!  We opened presents, ate delicious snacks, and watched four hours of conference.  Ryan is my favorite boy that is two because: He wanders the house looking for me and calling out, "Are you?"  He gives as many kisses as you beg for.  He eats hummus with a spoon.  He loves swinging as high as the chains allow.  "Hold you, Mama" reminds me that he's still my baby boy.
