Home Again

We really are just plain busy.  Sunday we three spent a whole bunch of church in the mother's lounge.
Meg was captured in the newspaper.  Can you see Austin in the background?  He is standing by the fence in those handsome gray slacks and blue shirt.  Meg is getting really fast.  Really, really fast.
 A random grouping.
 Sunday afternoon football.
Miss Molly loves to eat her tootsies.  I can't blame her, they are pretty cute.
Saturday we watched the General Women's Meeting.  Ryan and Molly did not help us be reverent.
Maisie and Andy competed in their first track meeting of the season.
She ran all three of her events within 30 minutes of each other.  She was beat.

We were in Prescott, so we went to Costco for dinner.  Cheers from all these dinner folk.
Once I had enough patience for monster toast.
She is so nice to put up with him.  He is so nice to always want to love on her.  They make a great team.

Once I had enough energy to give them an evening ride on my airplane.
I baked 54 poppyseed muffins for RS.
Mostly I feed this baby, whilst that little boys rolls all over us.  He only talks in very high decibels.  I am learning how to read lips now.  Seriously.

Spring Break 2017

This year spring break was a whole lot better -- i.e. no deaths.  We were lucky enough to make it to Utah to see Emily go on her prom date.  She was sure pretty and her date told her she looked gorgeous.  That pretty much made me like him from the first moment.

Mark held my baby daily.  He commented, "You always dress her so cute.  And, she smells so clean and fresh."  Well, he just realized all that I get done.  That's it -- a clean, dressed and well fed baby.
Nick got a black eye from football, Grandma Kim helped him secure his ice pack.
 Family scriptures.
Austin took Maisie and Nick to Orlando for the week.  They had a great time.  I should post some of their pictures.
 Cemetery love.

Tuesday marked the one year anniversary of Daddy's death.  These sons of his and brothers of mine sang a song in tribute.  We girls ate waffles.
Meg spent the entire week doing absolutely nothing.  She really does look carefree.
 Tanner's soccer game.
 My new hari
I also managed a pedi the night before Rebekah had her baby.
Millie and Ruthie left for school from MOm's house -- Rebekah gave birth to baby Georgie.
Andy played blocks on Molly, not with her.
 Mandatory nap time.
We shopped just one time and for four hours.  Jib kept all the mobile noisances at home.
We also saw "Beauty and the Beast" as a fivesome.  Molly kept me in the hall 75% of the time.  However, it was still really special being with these ladies.
Here is Uncle Jib in all his glory.
Ashley and I found ourselves Sunday morning in the mother's lounge -- a dream come true.
We drove home that same day after church, and these Sunday naps sure made our car ride peaceful and reverent.

A Few Bits

Meg had a meet in Flag.  We drove all the way there, and we missed her race by 3 minutes -- the meet ran AHEAD of schedule.  When does that ever happen?  Only this once, I guess.
This meal was one of the family's favorites.  It's in my new cookbook about eating less sugar.
One morning I was limber.  It still hurt.  A lot.

March 5, 2017

Yesterday Meg had her first track meet.  Austin, Molly and I went to Phoenix to watch her slay her competition, which she did.  The announcer called her the "runaway freight train" because she flew off the line and finished 200m ahead in the mile.  She also ran a 63 second 400 and a 2:38 800.
Molly was very lucky to come.  She stayed awake the entire three hours and wooed all the spectators.
Andy's broken pinky did hot stop him from playing a great flag football game.
Eddie and I painted signs for Meg's meet.

Maddie performed in her classroom's production of "Hansel and Gretel Eat Right."  She filled in for several parts.  At the end  of her performence her class had donuts and she carefully shared with the boys.

Maisie earned an ice cream cone for great piano practice (Maddie did as well).
We all drew pictures of each other.
FHE was a lesson by Maddie in which we were super heros and talked about how we can be super kind, super patient, super nice, super obedient and super honest.

February 26, 2017

Yesterday Austin, Maisie and Ryan began spring planting.
It occurred to me that Ryan certainly fit into the "orphan" category -- his pants are on backwards, he's in his pajama shirt, he has marker all over his face and hair, and he went potty in the weeds.  But, we really love him and he's mostly not neglected.

Eddie got tired out from hiding from his chores.
 Andy's flag football friends.

Molly fit right in with the stuffed animals at Walmart.
I can't stay ahead of his messes.
These cuties play board games after school
Molly helped me fold tons of laundry.  She is four months old.  She weights 14 pounds and 10 ounces, is 25 inches long and loved by all.

 I cleaned my stove.
Eddie jumps and while waiting for the kids to get home.
 These two were twins.
We visited our friend in physical therapy.  We're glad she is healing after her car accident.
