Camp Fire
FHE Monday night consisted of fellowshipping with ward members around a bonfire. Andy was so thrilled Monday night, that he invited himself over to Pav's tonight for hot dogs, smores and more fire
Andy and the fire.

Maisie played in the wheat.

The kids also spent time on the hammock -- not Andy, he was too busy hauling wood and throwing it on the fire.

Crazy Sleepers
One of the most uncomfortable experiences, ever, is sleeping beside Maisie. I've often wondered how the other kids can handle her thrashing, until I figured out that they simply move with her. Here are the children on the same night, in different rooms, sleeping at the bottom of their beds. (Two nights ago Maisie came up into our bed, so I moved to the bottom and left her, on purpose, at the top. There wasn't room for Austin at the bottom of the bed, so he had to deal. Sorry, man.)

Summer Gardening
This morning I awakened earlier than the entire household so I was able to head out to my flowers and tend to them. I find so much joy digging in the dirt. OK I also find so much joy in scrubbing dirt off my kids, but that is another summer post. Here is a collage of our yard. Austin deserves all the credit for the amazing garden (we are already harvesting broccoli, spinach, lettuce, carrots, onions, peas, beets, radishes, cucumbers) and flower bed in front of the shed.

Toys
I think we have more toys than most stores.....Austin made a shelving system to accomodate our needs. He finished the shelves last night. I think they turned out perfectly. He is planning on making a corner piece that will connect the two sides, but I've side tracked him into my next project -- installing drip lines in my flower beds.
