Eddie's #4

Eddie-boy is very big; he turned 4 today!  We spent the morning opening presents and taking a bath with new toys.  Then we played swords for hours.  Eddie wanted his best friends, Ryan and Bradley, to come for lunch.  We made a Daniel Tiger cake and shared it with the family in the evening.  Eddie is happy and kind, and he loves to hug and kiss Ryan.  He begs for Maddie to come home all day, and is super happy just being together.

Easter

The Easter buuny has a deeper perspective about the Resurrection.  So, the basket budget was $2.99 or less.  Besides eggs filled with savory snacks (belvitas, chips, beef jerkey bites, ritz crackers, cheezits, and one egg of jelly beans), just a small gift was their only gift.  This year the resurrection means survival and hope.  I have two options: Believe in  Jesus's resurrection and have hope that one day my daddy will hug me again.  Or, to choose to not believe and be in the depths of despair.  I chose and choose every single day to believe.  I have hope and know that He IS hope.

TV Off

Netflix is not an option during the week, nor are devices.  And, chore negligence on Saturday means a continuation of that rule.  These darlings did not get their work done, but they played together.  Hooray for puff-ball fairy families, and balcony deliveries.  Hooray for a mother that made them work after a day of play.

Famously Famous

Meg is quite the celebrity at church.  All the "old people" gave her lots of attention for her amazing Sedona meet races.  She medaled more than once.  I like this picture because she's modest.  But I like her most of all because she is nice and knows how to make others feel important.

True Love

Sunday, Valentine's Day, was really special.  Because we have late church, we ate a relaxed breakfast with gifts from cupid, then headed to church.  Meg recieved her first valentine from a crush, and Ryan will always be my valentine.  We spent the evening playing hide-and-seek and singing ukulele tunes.

Friday the Twelveth

Friday morning I pulled off some fancy hair for both girls.  Then I bathed Ryan and fluffed his curls a bit.  That poor little baby boy of mine.....Friday night was our ward social.  I took that delicious caprese salad, and it was gone minutes later.  Austin and I posed in the photo booth and laughed the night away.  Home again, and I curled up with my ukulele and perfected-ish a new song.

Maddie's Stitches

Maddie was running to the bus stop and tripped.  The result was a three stitches and a couple of black eyes.  Luckily Austin and his team made it all better.  She shed no tears the entire time -- I was the only one who cried.
