Chicken Point

We love hiking.  Grandpa and Grandma B. came up for the weekend just to hike.  We spent a brilliant Saturday together.  The best perk was that Austin spoke and sang in ward conference, and they got to hear that as well.  Then Sunday night we sat around their feet and listened to the stories of their childhood.

Together is really the best place to be.

Laundry and Lullabies

These two help me with at least 14 loads of lanudry eack week.  They love watching the water pour in.  I love watching them.  (I really don't think Eddie's buns could be any smaller.)


One evening on his way to bed, Eddie asked if he could rock the baby.  Eddie sang Ryan a sweet lullaby, and Ryan sat still and closed his eyes.  There is only three pounds difference in weight, but neither seemed to notice.

And we play a lot of BINGO.

We also play lots of hide and seek.  I especially loved Eddie's finger poking through the hole.  Confession: I couldn't help but bite it.

And we spend many morning on our swings -- our friend was loving her swing as well.

Submarine Rock and Suns Game

30 minutes in the car and 60 minutes on foot gave our little family the best Sedona views.  This winter weather can't be beat.


Austin and I then drove to Phoenix for the Suns game.  We had great seats, and our team won with a winning basket at the buzzer.  We had a super-fun evening.

BYU or Bust

These nice kids get to wear college shirts on Wednesday.  This day was a goodie.  Maisie won her class spelling bee and tried in the school bee.  She is a great speller.

That Girl

Meg's show choir performed a medley of Broadway Musicals -- she sang her heart out, and I loved every second -- I sang along as well.  Here is the little performer and her parents in their hats.  Good times.

The Shlogan Wedding

Rachelle and Logan are hitched!  How blessed we are that our children were apart of a temple wedding.  My heart yearns for their successful married future beginning with a temple sealing.  Reconnecting with family and loving each of the nieces and nephews is always a treat.  (I sneaked in an early morning 4+ mile run past the Gilbert temple.)

An Evening of Preparation

Shelly and Logan -- Shlogan are getting married tomorrow!  We met up with most of the family for dinner.  The self-serve soft-serve ice cream was the favorite.  Well, that and Grandpa B.  That table of boys connected like they had never been apart.

It was quite a busy holiday, and with the preparations for the upcoming Shlogan wedding, I haven't sat one bit.  I did for 15 seconds and found myself piled upon by a few who simply needed me to stop and hold them.  I love being the mother!
