Pinewood Derby

Nick and Austin worked all week on their pinewood derby car.  Nick's raced really well.  Both boys were happy.

We showed all the "Babcock" support we could.  It's safe to say Nick had the largest and loudest cheering section!

Ryan is 2!

My baby is 2!  Ryan is very lucky because each time a Sunday birthday rolls around, it will be General Conference!  We opened presents, ate delicious snacks, and watched four hours of conference.  Ryan is my favorite boy that is two because: He wanders the house looking for me and calling out, "Are you?"  He gives as many kisses as you beg for.  He eats hummus with a spoon.  He loves swinging as high as the chains allow.  "Hold you, Mama" reminds me that he's still my baby boy.

Amazing Maisie

The awards assembly this month proved the obvious -- Maisie is amazing!  She received the attitude of the month for creativity, principal's list for all A's, top honors for passing all recorder levels in music, and she has run 26.6 miles this year in the Ocelot trot.  Way to be amazing!

Eddie's #4

Eddie-boy is very big; he turned 4 today!  We spent the morning opening presents and taking a bath with new toys.  Then we played swords for hours.  Eddie wanted his best friends, Ryan and Bradley, to come for lunch.  We made a Daniel Tiger cake and shared it with the family in the evening.  Eddie is happy and kind, and he loves to hug and kiss Ryan.  He begs for Maddie to come home all day, and is super happy just being together.

Easter

The Easter buuny has a deeper perspective about the Resurrection.  So, the basket budget was $2.99 or less.  Besides eggs filled with savory snacks (belvitas, chips, beef jerkey bites, ritz crackers, cheezits, and one egg of jelly beans), just a small gift was their only gift.  This year the resurrection means survival and hope.  I have two options: Believe in  Jesus's resurrection and have hope that one day my daddy will hug me again.  Or, to choose to not believe and be in the depths of despair.  I chose and choose every single day to believe.  I have hope and know that He IS hope.

TV Off

Netflix is not an option during the week, nor are devices.  And, chore negligence on Saturday means a continuation of that rule.  These darlings did not get their work done, but they played together.  Hooray for puff-ball fairy families, and balcony deliveries.  Hooray for a mother that made them work after a day of play.

Famously Famous

Meg is quite the celebrity at church.  All the "old people" gave her lots of attention for her amazing Sedona meet races.  She medaled more than once.  I like this picture because she's modest.  But I like her most of all because she is nice and knows how to make others feel important.
