68!

Today we celebrated Grandpa B's 68th birthday.  The celebration of course included presents, balloons, singing and raw food.  We each told him why we loved him during dinner.  I love him because he is gentle and wise. (Please notice those dollar store birthday goblets -- they are so cute!)

 The is a raw key lime pie.  It was delicious.  Meg made his birthday crown.

Nick's Kindergarten Graduation

Oh, my little boy is getting so big.  I cried during his graduation.  And yet, I want him to grow up and be a good man.  I hope that I can train him to make good choices so that he can be.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day this year was special because Grandma and Grandpa B. each have parents buried in local cemeteries that we visited.

In the afternoon we had a BBQ with my family.

 In the evening we had a BBQ with Austin's family.

I am blessed to live in this free nation where soldiers die to keep me free.

Meg is a Beehive!

Today my little lady turned 12.  She was brimming full of happiness all day.

Auntie Em slept over, so last night she and I ran to the store for the last minute items and decorated the kitchen.

This morning we opened presents and ate eggs Benedict.

Meg had a soccer game -- she scored the only goal and was given the MVP for the game.

Late morning I took Meg and Em shopping.  We found lovely things then brought home Wendy's for lunch.

All afternoon we relaxed and watched movies.

Dinner was mac and cheese and an ice cream roll cake topped off the entire day.

I just love my Meg.

Mother's Day

Yes.  I am a mother.  I love it.  I live my dream.

We were able to talk to missionary Jimmy.   All afternoon we played Legos and then headed to my mother's for dinner and a relaxing evening on the lawn.

AF Canyon Cookout

Our friends from dental school, the Bells, came for short visit.  We found ourselves in the canyon.  Both families have six kids, and the kids get along so well, it always makes our time together bliss.

 12 kids under 12.

 The kids pushed this log onto the trail, so the adults, sans moi, moved it off the path again.  A feat.

We came home tired and happy.

School Musical Performance

I have four children attending the same school this year. Ergo the spring musical was a highlight.  Each of the children sang an old time rock and roll song.
I made Maisie this poodle skirt the night before with scraps.

 Andy is the shortest.  But he sure hammed it up while singing.

 Maisie was nervous, but she sang her song and shook her poodle booty with the best.

 Cute Nick was thrilled the entire time he sang.

 Meg was adorable.  I love watching her sing.

This last week Meg was in her class performance of "Romeo and Juliet."  We made her costume and she performed so well.

Birthday Boys

Austin and Nick are older!  We celebrated their day with a "Duck Dynasty" family birthday party.

I loved today because our house was brimming with family.  And because my two boys are kind and good.
